preface I 人間有情

有些事情一定要處於逆境才能體會得到。

當我得悉患上子宮頸癌的時候﹐我告訴自己一定要堅強地面對這場可能是生命中最重要的戰役。

“癌症”這個名字聽來很可怕﹐但我卻因它而體會丌一些從前未能領會的東西﹐就是人間溫暖。朋友､家人､歌迷的關懷給我莫大的支持和勇氣﹐如果沒有他們﹐我想我未必能如些堅強地忍受病症和治療帶來的痛苦。我是一個成人﹐接受治療也感到心力交瘁﹐更何況是小孩﹖

世界患癌的兒童日益增多﹐我知道我已很幸運﹐因為我有能力應付治療的開支﹐不至令我感到絕望。相對一些癌病兒童﹐他們的家庭不能負擔醫療費用﹐白白損失治療的機會﹐令人惋惜。

我希望藉著自己的病﹐能喚醒大家的愛心﹐給癌症兒童一囚治療的機會。一囚康復的希望。讓他們也感受到人間有情。

Compassion among people

There is something that you will never realize unless you are in difficulty.

When I knew I got cervical cancer, I told myself that I must be strong to fight possibly the toughest battle in my life.

"Cancer" sounds very terrible.  But because of it, I realize something that I have never known before, that is compassion from people.  Care from friends, family and fans give me tremendous support and courage.  Without them, I think I might not be able to endure the pain that cancer itself and treatment inflicted on me.  I'm a grown up, but treatment still shattered me completely both physically and mentally, imagine what a child would go through?

Nowadays, more children are suffering from cancer all over the world.  I know I'm already very lucky, because I'm financially capable to seek treatment, so I won't feel despair.  However,  some children, whose family can't afford the medical expenses,  lose the opportunity to receive medical treatment, how pitiful that is.

I wish with my own illness, I can wake up your sympathy, bring opportunity for treatment to children with cancer, a hope to recover, and let them feel Compassion among people too.
