English readers, sorry that I am a bit behind.  I will try my best to catch up, will translate those parts that are really new to us first (most of the writing is about her whole life, that I will selectively translate some newspaper. not all.)  For information of overseas fans, in HK there are about 7 to 8 Chinese newspaper, yesterday, and today Ah Mui appears at News head-line, not just at entertainment section. Yesterday, some newspaper even issued additional papers reporting the passing of Mui.  

 Ah Mui was most valuable  to HK people.  But she was not really that valued by all the HK people or the government when she was alive.  Actually I was surprised that the HK government didn't give her a medal this year for all the work she has done for SARS, now that CE Tung sent consolation to the Guild of HK Performing Artistes, what's the use........anyway, that CE Tung is a useless figure head.

Ah Mui already left, no way to reply any of the media writing.  I hope all the media people will write all the true things, in order to show respect and tribute to the deceased Mui.  This is my sincere request.

Suffered from ailment for 2 years, too busy working no time for treatment

【 明 報 專 訊 】 據 本 報 透 過 各 方 途 徑 了 解 ， 梅 艷 芳 早 於 兩 年 前 已 患 上 子 宮 頸 癌 ， 若 她 及 早 動 手 術 將 子 宮 頸 有 癌 細 胞 的 部 分 切 除 ， 根 治 機 會 甚 高 ， 惜 她 太 熱 中 工 作 ， 無 暇 治 病 ， 讓 癌 魔 有 機 可 乘 。 至 今 年 7 月 ， 傳 媒 發 現 她 往 養 和 醫 院 求 診 時 ， 其 癌 細 胞 已 至 肝 部 及 有 擴 散 �[ 象 ， 到 了 不 能 根 治 的 地 步 。

(Mingpao)  Tried to gather information from all sources, we found that Anita Mui already got cervical cancer 2 years  If she agree to have operation to remove parts of uterus with cancer cells, her chance of full recovery was very great.  Unfortunately, she was too busy working, had no time for taking care of her own sickness.  So cancer germs got chance to spread.  Till July of this year, when media found she went to treatment at HK Sanatorium, her cancer already spread to liver, and with symptom to spread further, and to a incurable stage.

開 演 唱 會 完 成 最 後 心 願

梅 艷 芳 當 時 知 道 自 己 病 情 嚴 重 ， 往 下 慢 慢 明 白 ， 末 期 癌 症 的 治 療 只 能 延 長 生 命 ， 不 能 治 癒 。 她 計 劃 開 8 場 演 唱 會 ， 是 她 對 歌 迷 的 一 個 交 代 ， 以 及 人 生 最 後 的 心 願 ， 當 時 癌 細 胞 已 擴 散 ， 但 體 力 仍 可 應 付 。

　

Anita Mui then realized how serious was her condition, and gradually understood that treatment for cancer patient was only for prolong life, but could never be cured.  She planned for her 8 shows of concert, that was to satisfy her fans, and finish her last wish in this life.  At that time, cancer cells already spread, but physically she could still go on.

赴 日 拍 廣 告 病 情 惡 化

然 而 ， 她 長 途 跋 涉 到 日 本 拍 攝 纖 體 廣 告 後 ， 令 病 情 惡 化 。 她 從 日 本 回 港 下 機 後 ， 便 直 接 到 養 和 醫 院 ， 之 後 就 沒 有 離 開 過 醫 院 ， 癌 細 胞 繼 續 擴 散 到 肝 、 腎 、 肺 、 腦 各 器 官 ， 一 代 歌 后 終 不 敵 癌 魔 離 世 。

　

Then, after she went all the way to Japan to film the slimming ad, her condition deteriorated.  After she left the plan, she went to the HK Sanatorium directly, and never left hospital ever since.  Cancer germs continued to spread to liver, kidney, lung and brain, all organs.  Finally she died due to cancer.

「 阿 梅 」 的 家 人 與 好 友 為 了 保 護 她 ， 不 想 她 受 外 界 騷 擾 ， 遂 將 其 入 院 的 消 息 封 鎖 ， 又 放 「 煙 幕 」 指 她 在 家 中 開 聖 誕 派 對 等 ， 免 得 傳 媒 四 出 偵 查 騷 擾 她 。

　

Ah Mui's family and friends wanted to protect her, and didn't like her to be disturbed, so they kept secret the news that she was hospitalized, and put up a show that she was have Christmas party and etc. at home, as to avoid the media to look for her everywhere.

愛 美 拒 化 療 免 脫 髮

梅 艷 芳 一 向 愛 美 ， 身 患 惡 疾 的 她 討 厭 化 療 導 致 大 量 脫 髮 ， 故 她 只 肯 接 受 電 療 ， 不 肯 同 步 接 受 化 療 ， 據 悉 ， 她 只 接 受 過 一 次 化 療 ， 治 療 都 以 電 療 為 主 。

Anita Mui loved to look pretty.  She hated chemo treatment as it caused the falling of hair.  So she only agreed to accept radio treatment, but did receive chemo at the same time, but it is said, only once, mainly is radio treatment.

梅 艷 芳 相 信 ， 憑 �� 她 個 人 的 堅 強 鬥 志 ， 可 以 戰 勝 病 魔 ， 故 一 邊 接 受 治 療 ， 一 邊 繼 續 手 上 未 完 的 工 作 ， 包 括 8 場 演 唱 會 ， 以 及 一 個 在 日 本 京 都 拍 攝 的 廣 告 。 其 實 ， 阿 梅 的 腫 瘤 對 電 療 有 不 錯 的 反 應 ， 電 療 後 ， 腫 瘤 縮 細 了 ， 令 她 的 鬥 志 增 強 不 少 。

　

Anita Mui believed, with her own strong fighting spirit, she could win over her ailment.  So she continued the treatment, and at the same time tried to finish the work she hadn't finished,  including the concert, her trip to Kyoto for the ad.  Actually, radio treatment had a great effect on her, as the tumor became smaller, that strengthened her fighting spirit.

電 療 後 腫 瘤 縮 細 鬥 志 增 強

梅 艷 芳 在 治 療 初 期 不 算 是 一 個 合 作 的 病 人 ， 電 台 節 目 主 持 人 查 小 欣 在 《 茶 煲 裡 的 查 篤 撐 》 多 次 披 露 ， 阿 梅 未 依 時 做 電 療 、 不 依 時 服 藥 ， 常 常 要 好 友 劉 德 華 致 電 勸 她 服 藥 ， 她 才 肯 服 藥 ， 接 受 治 療 。

At the beginning, she was not a very cooperative patient.  As the radio people in her program mentioned that Ah Mui didn't go for radio treatment on time, didn't take medicine on time, her friend Andy Lau had to remind her to take medicine, then she became more cooperative.

有 報 道 指 她 曾 接 受 一 種 阻 截 癌 細 胞 生 長 的 治 療 方 法 ， 梅 的 主 診 醫 生 張 文 龍 回 答 本 報 記 者 查 詢 時 稱 沒 有 此 事 ， 但 他 不 肯 透 露 其 他 病 情 。 據 悉 ， 張 醫 生 是 梅 的 歌 迷 ， 義 務 為 她 診 治 。

Our newspaper once reported that Ah Mui received the treatment that stopped the growing of cancer cells.  Mui's doctor Cheung Mun Lung said no such thing when our reporter asked him, and he didn't like to release any further information about Mui's condition.  It is said, Dr. Cheung is a fan of Mui, so voluntarily treated Mui.

醫 學 文 獻 指 出 ， 末 期 癌 症 的 治 療 重 點 ， 不 在 根 治 ， 而 在 延 長 病 人 壽 命 ， 提 高 病 人 餘 下 生 命 的 質 素 ， 減 輕 痛 楚 。 令 人 欣 慰 的 是 ， 梅 艷 芳 的 好 朋 友 成 龍 、 曾 志 偉 均 表 示 ， 她 在 好 友 的 祝 福 中 安 詳 含 笑 離 世 。

     According to medical articles, treatment for cancer patient of the last stage will stress to prolong the life , to upgrade the living quality of the remaining life, and to lessen the pain of the patient.  What made us feel better is that Ah Mui left this with smile and in peace and blessings of her friends, that was mentioned by her good friends, Jacky Chan and Eric Tsang.

【 明 報 專 訊 】 初 期 的 子 宮 頸 癌 若 及 早 治 療 ， 治 癒 率 高 達 100 ％ ， 但 本 港 子 宮 頸 癌 患 者 有 年 輕 化 趨 勢 ， 專 家 指 性 濫 交 是 高 危 因 素 ， 外 國 研 究 顯 示 有 6 名 性 伴 侶 以 上 者 ， 感 染 子 宮 頸 癌 機 會 較 高 。 香 港 防 癌 會 呼 籲 婦 女 定 期 檢 查 。

[Mingpao]  Cervical cancer if discovered at early stage and go for treatment immediately, recovery rate is 100%.  Nowadays, younger women are getting this cancer too.  Women should go for check up every year.

患 者 趨 年 輕 化 應 定 期 抹 片 檢 查

婦 女 一 生 中 大 概 有 94 分 之 一 機 會 患 上 子 宮 頸 癌 。 根 據 香 港 防 癌 會 統 計 ， 每 年 有 440 多 宗 子 宮 頸 癌 新 症 ， 在 婦 女 最 常 見 的 癌 症 中 居 第 四 位 ， 患 者 由 20 至 70 多 歲 ， 大 部 分 為 50 歲 以 上 。 但 香 港 大 學 婦 產 科 學 系 教 授 顏 婉 嫦 稱 ， 雖 然 年 輕 患 者 佔 的 比 率 仍 相 對 較 小 ， 惟 近 年 子 宮 頸 癌 患 者 有 年 輕 化 趨 勢 。

　

In the life of a woman, she gets 1/94 chance to get cervical cancer.  Every year there are 440 new cases in HK. ranked 4th for cancers that female attracted.  Suffers are between the age of 20 to 70, mainly below 50.  younger women have less chance to get this kind of cancer.

第 四 期 難 根 治 壽 命 僅 半 年

養 和 醫 院 全 職 放 射 治 療 科 顧 問 醫 生 張 文 龍 是 梅 艷 芳 的 主 診 醫 生 ， 他 拒 絕 透 露 病 人 資 料 。 但 他 提 醒 有 性 生 活 的 婦 女 ， 應 定 期 進 行 抹 片 檢 查 。 如 果 屬 第 一 期 情 �G ， 只 要 施 小 手 術 ， 切 除 受 癌 細 胞 影 響 位 置 或 用 電 療 ， 可 100 ％ 治 癒 ﹔ 第 二 期 病 者 用 電 療 及 化 療 可 延 長 生 命 。 至 於 第 四 期 病 人 ， 要 根 治 較 困 難 ， 但 可 以 用 電 療 及 化 療 縮 細 腫 瘤 ， 維 持 壽 命 半 年 。

Cheung Mun Lung, as Ah Mui's doctor, refused to release any information about his patient, but he reminds women to have pap smear regularly.  If it is 1st stage, minor operation to remove the part that has cancer cells and then receive radio therapy, recovery rate is 100%.  For second stage patient, chemo and radio treatments are used to prolong life.  For the 4th stage patient , it is difficult to cure.  radio and chemo treatment are used to shrink the tumor, and life will be prolonged for half a year.

張 醫 生 稱 ， 過 去 見 到 不 少 病 人 埋 首 工 作 ， 諱 疾 忌 醫 ， 以 健 康 作 賭 注 ， 因 此 他 提 醒 市 民 要 及 早 治 病 。

　

Doctor Cheung said, he has seen many people devote so much in their work, and afraid to see the doctor, and take their health as bet.  So he reminds people to seek treatment as soon as possible.

【 明 報 專 訊 】 一 代 巨 星 梅 艷 芳 ， 將 於 2004 年 1 月 12 日 舉 行 大 殮 及 出 殯 。 治 喪 委 員 會 發 言 人 岑 建 勳 表 示 ， 由 於 梅 艷 芳 喜 歡 熱 鬧 ， 故 她 生 前 好 友 會 盡 量 出 席 ， 令 她 的 喪 禮 能 以 熱 鬧 、 「 多 人 惜 」 為 主 題 。 除 演 藝 界 人 士 對 她 的 逝 世 感 哀 痛 外 ， 行 政 長 官 董 建 華 、 中 聯 辦 與 政 府 官 員 ， 均 對 其 離 世 表 示 深 切 惋 惜 。

　

[Mingpao] The funeral service of the super star, Anita Mui, will be held on Jan. 12th , 2004 and then cremation will follow right away. The spokesman, Shum Kin Shum, on the committee of her funeral said that Anita Mui liked crowds, so all her friends would try to be present, let her feel hilarious, "lots people love her" as the theme of the funeral.  all artists felt sad at the loss of her, CE Tung and the government office of China and Hong Kong Affairs also felt deepest regret.

據 悉 ， 1 月 11 日 將 假 香 港 殯 儀 館 為 梅 艷 芳 設 靈 ， 以 佛 教 儀 式 舉 行 ， 公 祭 當 日 下 午 4 時 開 始 ， 供 各 界 人 士 到 場 致 祭 ， 大 殮 及 出 殯 將 於 翌 日 上 午 11 時 舉 行 。

　

The funeral will be held according to Buddhism ritual, the altar will be set up on Jan 11th at Hong Kong Funeral Home, and public can go to pay last respect to Ah Mui starting at 4:00p.m.  All are welcome, funeral service will be held on the following day at 11:00a.m. to 12 noon.

梅 艷 芳 生 前 一 大 班 友 好 昨 晚 隨 即 開 會 並 組 成 治 喪 委 員 會 ， 由 劉 培 基 任 主 席 ， 岑 建 勳 任 發 言 人 ， 主 要 成 員 包 括 成 龍 、 何 超 瓊 、 張 學 友 、 梁 家 輝 、 曾 志 偉 、 譚 詠 麟 、 劉 德 華 、 梁 朝 偉 及 梅 的 經 理 人 王 敏 慧 等 31 人 。

Anita Mui's friends had meeting yesterday for her funeral.  Eddie Lau is the chairman, Shum Kin Fung is the spokesman, member for the committee  will be Jacky Chan, Pansy Ho, Jacky Cheung, Leung Kar Fai, Eric Tsang, Alan Tam, Andy Lau, Tong Leung, Marianne, total 31 persons.

擬 成 立 梅 艷 芳 慈 善 基 金

據 悉 ， 梅 的 好 友 亦 正 構 思 成 立 一 個 以 梅 艷 芳 為 名 的 慈 善 基 金 ， 以 紀 念 這 名 熱 心 公 益 的 演 藝 人 ， 以 及 繼 續 完 成 她 生 前 服 務 社 會 的 志 願 。

It is said that her friends might set a charity fund in her name, in remembrance of her Big Heart for charity, and to continue her wish for charity work .

布 置 以 張 國 榮 靈 堂 為 藍 本

岑 建 勳 昨 日 透 露 ， 梅 的 喪 禮 靈 堂 布 置 ， 會 以 張 國 榮 喪 禮 為 藍 本 ， 並 由 志 蓮 淨 院 高 僧 為 她 打 齋 誦 經 ， 估 計 需 用 過 百 萬 元 費 用 。 由 於 梅 生 前 喜 愛 熱 鬧 ， 一 眾 好 友 會 齊 集 喪 禮 ， 送 她 走 完 人 生 最 後 一 程 ， 劉 培 基 更 會 為 梅 親 自 設 計 一 件 壽 衣 。

　

According to Shum Kin Fung, the service hall will be decorated more less the same as Leslie Cheung's.  Monks from Chi Lin will say prayers for her, The funeral might cost over HK$1 million by rough estimation.  As Mui likes crowd, all friends will come and accompany her during her last trip in this world.  Eddie Lau will design a set of clothes for her.

哥 連 臣 角 火 化

岑 建 勳 亦 表 示 ， 梅 艷 芳 的 遺 體 會 在 大 殮 儀 式 後 ， 運 至 哥 連 臣 角 火 葬 場 火 化 ， 但 暫 未 決 定 骨 灰 的 安 放 位 置 。 至 於 扶 靈 名 單 、 由 誰 負 責 攜 �� 梅 的 遺 照 、 擔 幡 買 水 等 安 排 則 還 未 決 定 ， 會 在 稍 後 公 布 。

　

After funeral service, her body will be sent right away to Cape Collinson Crematorium for cremation.  But it hasn't been decided where to put the ashes.   Who will be the bearers of her coffins, who will carry her picture, who will perform the Buddhism ritual all will be decided later, and then will be announced.

特 首 中 聯 辦 慰 問

特 首 董 建 華 算 不 上 是 梅 艷 芳 的 歌 迷 ， 但 昨 晨 得 悉 她 逝 世 的 消 息 後 ， 即 致 電 成 龍 ， 對 梅 病 逝 表 示 難 過 ， 並 �� 成 龍 代 他 向 梅 的 家 人 及 演 藝 人 協 會 致 以 慰 問 。 董 建 華 並 讚 揚 梅 艷 芳 在 演 藝 界 的 成 就 ， 且 熱 心 社 會 事 務 。 他 又 盛 讚 梅 甚 具 創 意 及 毅 力 ， 靠 個 人 努 力 創 造 一 番 事 業 ， 是 香 港 成 功 的 典 型 例 子 。

CE Tung is not Mui's fan, but when he heard the news of Mui passed away, he immediately called Jacky Chan, expressed his regret and asked Jacky to pass to her family and the Giuld his deepest condolence.  He praised her achievement  in her career and the work she did for the society.  He also praised that Mui was full of creation and persistence.  By personal hard work she established her career, a classic model that brought success to HK.  (too late by saying all these. Mui can't hear, even she does, she won't care anymore.)

【 明 報 專 訊 】 梅 艷 芳 18 歲 成 名 ， 在 短 短 一 年 已 躋 身 百 萬 富 翁 行 列 ， 之 後 不 停 拍 片 、 出 唱 片 及 開 演 唱 會 ， 全 盛 期 身 家 達 4000 萬 。 不 過 ， 由 於 她 花 錢 豪 爽 ， 估 計 約 有 過 千 萬 遺 產 留 給 先 後 痛 失 兩 名 女 兒 的 81 歲 梅 媽 媽 。

　

(Mingpao)   Anita Mui got famous when she was only 18.  Within one year, she already became millionaire.  Then she never stopped working for movies, albums and concerts.  When she was in full blast, her asset was more than HK$40 million, it is estimated she might have more than HK$10 million left to her 81 years old mother.

投 資 物 業 遭 人 壓 價

紅 透 半 邊 天 的 梅 艷 芳 ， 收 入 豐 厚 。 她 不 善 投 資 ， 只 在 母 親 指 導 下 購 入 物 業 ， 惟 受 盛 名 所 累 ， 常 遭 別 人 用 低 價 買 下 其 物 業 後 ， 轉 手 即 賺 一 倍 ， 梅 艷 芳 為 此 甚 為 氣 憤 ， 因 此 變 賣 物 業 ， 只 剩 下 香 港 兩 個 單 位 供 自 己 和 母 親 居 住 。

　

Anita Mui is well known in half of this planet, she had huge income.  But she did not know how to invest, she only buy property under her mother's instruction, but often sold at bargain price due to her fame.  But those buyers made money by selling these properties right away.  Ah Mui often felt furious about this.  So she sold most of her property, now she only had 2 properties left (but some other magazines said 4), one for herself and one for her mother to live.

打 本 兄 長 開 寵 物 場 蝕 300 萬

她 曾 打 本 給 兄 長 開 寵 物 場 ， 結 果 損 失 300 萬 。 梅 媽 媽 為 做 善 事 開 了 一 間 專 治 癌 症 的 中 藥 中 心 ， 卻 因 經 常 虧 蝕 ， 她 需 捐 出 過 百 萬 元 支 持 ， 阿 梅 因 此 一 度 不 滿 母 親 ， 後 來 梅 媽 媽 辭 去 該 會 長 職 務 ， 兩 母 女 才 冰 釋 前 嫌 。

She once invested in her brother's  pet business , but lost HK$3 million.  Then she founded a charity cancer clinic of Chinese medicine for her mother to take care.  She had to donate more than HK$ 1 million in it  to keep it going.  She wasn't happy about this clinic and resigned from the post of chairman, that caused a bad relation between her and her mother.  They just became friendly again not too long  ago.

有 傳 梅 艷 芳 曾 因 涉 及 一 宗 「 黑 幫 風 雲 」 而 有 困 難 ， 她 要 拿 出 超 過 2000 萬 來 「 擺 平 」 。 為 人 豪 爽 的 她 ， 知 道 朋 友 有 難 便 出 錢 幫 助 。

Also it was said she was dragged into trouble by [triad affair], she had to pay more than HK$20 million to pacify the whole thing.  She was always so generous that she often helped friends financially.

不 過 ， 近 年 梅 艷 芳 開 始 儲 到 錢 ， 這 幾 年 她 最 大 的 開 支 是 在 「 Mui Music 」 內 。 在 一 次 訪 問 中 她 曾 透 露 ， 每 個 月 的 開 支 至 少 要 20 萬 ， 負 擔 雖 重 ， 但 也 不 想 因 此 而 接 戲 。 保 守 估 計 阿 梅 目 前 的 身 家 逾 千 萬 。

　

However, recently she started to save money, the only biggest expense of recent years was for Mui Music.  Once during an interview, she mentioned that her month expense was at least HK$200,000.  She had heavy financial burden.  But she would not accept any movie only because of money.  So for a conservative estimate, she has left more than HK$10 million asset.

死 後 盼 變 小 鳥 覓 心 中 天 堂

梅 艷 芳 早 年 已 為 自 己 購 買 保 險 ， 所 以 今 次 醫 藥 費 用 雖 逾 100 萬 ， 但 其 家 人 應 只 需 支 付 大 約 三 分 之 一 的 費 用 。

　

Anita Mui bought insurance long time ago, this time though medical cost might over HK$1 million, her family might only have to pay 1/3 of expense.

此 外 ， 梅 艷 芳 在 過 往 的 訪 問 中 ， 曾 提 及 對 生 死 的 看 法 ， 她 說 ， 如 果 有 一 日 她 過 世 ， 希 望 自 己 可 以 化 成 一 隻 小 鳥 ， 能 夠 自 由 自 在 地 飛 ， 想 到 哪 �� 都 可 以 ， 且 能 尋 找 心 中 的 「 天 堂 」 。

　

Besides, once in the interview, she talked about her opinion of life and death.  She mentioned, if one day she died, she would like to be changed to a bird, so that she could fly around freely. looking for its [heaven]

望 遺 體 送 月 球

當 時 她 曾 表 示 如 果 他 朝 過 世 ， 就 把 自 己 有 用 的 器 官 捐 給 有 需 要 的 人 ， 並 忽 發 奇 想 說 ， 知 道 日 本 人 可 把 骨 灰 送 上 月 球 ， 也 希 望 自 己 把 整 個 遺 體 送 到 月 球 ， 那 其 靈 魂 未 必 能 上 天 堂 ， 至 少 軀 殼 可 在 太 空 。

　

Also she mentioned that after she died, she would donate her organ to the needy.  At that time, when she learnt that Japanese brought human ashes to the moon, she wished to have her whole corpse brought to the moon, then even her soul could not enter the heaven, her corpse could be in the space.

【 明 報 專 訊 】 梅 艷 芳 的 死 訊 ， 不 但 震 撼 香 港 市 民 ， 就 連 南 韓 、 甚 至 英 美 的 傳 媒 ， 包 括 美 國 有 線 新 聞 網 絡 （ CNN ） 及 英 國 廣 播 公 司 （ BBC ） ， 都 以 大 幅 報 道 她 的 死 訊 ， 前 者 以 「 香 港 麥 當 娜 」 比 喻 舞 台 形 象 百 變 的 阿 梅 ， 相 比 後 者 只 以 「 香 港 最 受 歡 迎 歌 星 及 演 員 」 更 為 貼 切 。

Anita Mui's death not only shattered the Hong Kong people, even in North Korea, in Britain and USA, the media including CNN band BBC, all reported on her death on large scale.  CNN described her as [Hong Kong Madonna] due to her ever changing images.  This comparison is more appropriate than the one described by BBC, [The most popular singer and actress of Hong Kong.]

雖 然 阿 梅 從 未 正 式 發 展 過 南 韓 市 場 ， 但 當 地 的 傳 媒 如 《 朝 鮮 體 育 報 》 亦 有 將 消 息 透 過 網 站 發 布 ， 可 見 阿 梅 的 影 響 力 ， 實 無 遠 弗 屆 。

Though Ah Mui never developed her album in North Korea  Market, the local media also reported her death through internet.  This proves that her influence is far greater than imagine.

The Super Queen, Anita Mui with her talent in singing, stage style, her performing skill and her character charmed her fnas, they have followed her for many years.  In the recent TVB appearance, [Gathering with Anita Mui heart to heart] program, she told her fans from deep down from her heart: [For 21 years, I still have such a group of fans, when walking by me, tell me: "We support you!"  This feeling of warmth makes reluctant to leave.]

阿 梅 歌 迷 不 離 不 棄

阿 梅 承 認 在 1992 年 曾 想 拋 下 一 切 過 新 生 活 、 結 婚 及 生 仔 。 可 惜 人 算 不 如 天 算 ， 要 得 到 全 世 界 的 愛 便 要 用 愛 情 交 換 ﹔ 結 果 她 選 擇 用 5 年 時 間 ， 若 歌 迷 不 走 便 留 下 來 ， 結 果 歌 迷 不 離 不 棄 ， 給 她 人 生 最 大 支 持 。 只 是 如 今 她 終 於 離 大 家 而 去 ， 愛 護 她 的 歌 迷 無 不 傷 心 悲 痛 ， 但 另 一 方 面 又 為 她 脫 離 痛 苦 感 到 安 慰 。

Ah Mui admitted that she decided to leave this entertainment circle to start a new life in 1992, to get married and to have kids.  However, it was destiny, when you want to have the love of the whole, you have to exchange love of one man.  Then she decided to give herself 5 years, if during this period the fans still remain supporting her, she would stay.  In the end, all the fans remained following her, that was the greatest support of her life. (This monologue was made by Ah Mui during the Classic Moment Live 2003 Concert)  Now Ah Mui has left us all, all her fans were stricken with sorrow, but on the other hand, she felt relieved as she didn't have to suffer from further pain.

Besides, the chairman of Hong Kong Film Academy Association was asked if they would give an award to Mui posthumously next April, he said they would decide later during the meeting.  They would do something, but not convenient to say anything now.  (Mui would not care about those material things anymore la.  You people have disappointed her too much during her life, no use to give her anything anymore.  She acted so good in Wu Yen, Midnight Fly and then her latest movie July Rhapsody, but you people paid no attention to her, all you care is those whose films have good box office, you neglect the talent of performing to such an extent that is really disgusting. ............who she doesn't care whatever you give her now, you people disappointed her too much already!  Luckily she was so much appreciated by Zhang Yee Mou, one of the greatest international directors of today.)

人 們 說 2003 年 是 不 幸 的 一 年 ， 演 藝 界 巨 星 隕 落 ， 名 人 辭 世 ， 壞 消 息 不 斷 傳 出 。 先 後 有 張 國 榮 和 阿 梅 離 我 們 而 去 ， 林 振 強 、 柯 受 良 、 寶 詠 琴 亦 離 開 人 世 ﹔ 抱 怨 上 天 奪 走 眾 人 所 愛 的 ， 遺 下 只 有 唏 噓 與 嘆 息 。 事 情 兩 面 睇 ， 正 面 看 2003 年 其 實 是 叫 人 學 習 「 感 恩 」 的 一 年 ， 我 們 感 謝 梅 艷 芳 、 感 謝 張 國 榮 、 感 謝 林 振 強 、 感 謝 柯 受 良 … … 他 們 的 離 開 讓 我 們 學 懂 珍 惜 眼 前 人 、 珍 惜 健 康 、 珍 惜 所 擁 有 的 一 切 ， 他 們 生 命 之 火 要 熄 滅 前 ， 仍 溫 暖 �� 每 一 顆 心 。

In 2003, the entertainment lost many great stars.  Instead of regretting that heaven took away those beloved people with exclamation, we should learn to be thankful after the experience of 2003.  We also should thank Anita Mui, Leslie Cheng, Lam Ching Keung and O Shiu Leung..........their departure from us taught us to treasure the people in front of us, treasure our health, and treasure all the things we own in this world.  Before the fire of their life distinguished, they still try to warm our heart.

April 1st, Leslie jumped off from Mandarin Hotel to finish his life, he played the largest joke on us on the April Fool's day.  When Gor Gor died Mui felt saddest, she was had such tight relation with Gor Gor, it was a fatal blow her.  They attracted each other, and their status was achieved though hard work.

電 影 的 合 作 ， 《 胭 脂 扣 》 中 十 二 少 跟 如 花 是 絕 配 ， 如 花 更 為 阿 梅 奪 得 影 后 榮 譽 。 音 樂 方 面 ， 他 們 合 唱 《 緣 份 》 與 《 絕 代 芳 華 》 ， 型 男 型 女 在 舞 台 上 的 表 演 成 為 絕 響 。 他 們 私 底 下 更 是 好 朋 友 ， 一 向 怕 黑 的 阿 梅 到 外 地 登 台 要 找 人 陪 �� ， 與 哥 哥 出 外 登 台 時 ， 兩 人 便 枕 邊 細 語 傾 心 事 ， 哥 哥 亦 曾 說 每 次 也 要 �� 阿 梅 熟 睡 了 ， 自 己 才 能 返 房 間 。

　

They were are perfect pair in [Rouge], that brought Mui the Best Female Actress Award.  Then their duet in the songs [Fate] and [Tsui Tai Fong Wah], again made them the most handsome and glamorous pair on stage.  They were good friends too.  When they were on concert tour in early days, Ah Mui was afraid of darkness, Gor Gor would accompany her until she fell asleep, and then went back to his own room.

( 星 島 日 報 報 道 ) 一 代 歌 后 梅 艷 芳 在 生 前 最 後 的 演 唱 會 中 ， 特 別 安 排 結 尾 的 場 景 穿 上 白 色 婚 紗 ， 步 向 強 光 耀 眼 的 白 門 ， 原 來 內 �� 有 一 個 鮮 為 人 知 的 秘 密 ， 這 道 白 門 其 實 是 暗 喻 極 樂 世 界 。 消 息 透 露 ， 她 生 前 曾 向 好 友 透 露 ， 有 兩 個 最 大 心 願 未 了 ， 就 是 希 望 結 婚 及 生 子 ， 阿 梅 惟 恐 割 除 腫 瘤 導 致 不 育 ， 故 一 直 拒 絕 接 受 醫 生 開 刀 建 議 ， 且 不 聽 勸 告 堅 持 帶 病 開 「 最 後 個 唱 」 ， 以 一 嘗 穿 婚 紗 滋 味 ， 結 果 加 速 病 情 惡 化 ， 致 昨 晨 不 幸 撒 手 塵 寰 。

She openly admitted that she longed to get married, but not afraid of death.  From the day the rumor was discovered to the day she left, only more than a years.  It is exceptional quick.  If she did listen to the doctor, and had operation to have the tumor removed, then we would not lose such a talent.

　 　 四 歲 就 以 賣 唱 維 生 的 阿 梅 ， 生 活 漂 泊 ， 同 學 們 有 父 母 疼 錫 ， 得 到 家 庭 溫 暖 ， 她 卻 連 吃 飯 亦 沒 定 時 ， 學 也 沒 得 返 ， 更 遑 論 擁 有 幸 福 的 童 年 。 所 以 ， 她 一 直 渴 望 與 最 愛 的 男 人 建 立 幸 福 小 家 庭 ， 生 一 兒 一 女 ， 像 胞 姊 愛 芳 般 ， 做 個 安 分 的 小 女 人 。

Since 4, she had to earn a living by singing.  In her childhood she lacked parental love and warmth of a family that her friends got.  She had to stopped schooling, had meals at irregular, so happiness was out of question.  She always longed to form a happy family with a man she loved, to have son and a daughter.  Just like her sister, to be a little woman.

　 　 可 惜 事 與 願 違 ， 多 年 來 阿 梅 都 在 玩 沒 完 沒 了 的 緣 分 遊 戲 ， 始 終 無 法 遇 到 肯 與 她 共 諧 連 理 的 人 。 當 醫 生 告 訴 她 子 宮 出 現 問 題 時 ， 阿 梅 表 現 異 常 錯 愕 ， 第 一 時 間 詢 問 有 何 方 法 解 救 ， 由 於 當 時 病 情 不 輕 ， 醫 生 建 議 她 進 行 切 除 子 宮 手 術 ， 杜 絕 壞 細 胞 擴 散 至 頸 部 。

However, contrary to her wish.  For all those years, she never found a man she could trusted.  When the doctor told her that she got problem with her uterus, she was shocked.  Her first question was how to solve the problem.  At that time, the condition wasn't too good already, the doctor suggested to her to have uterus removed, to stopped the bad cells spread to the neck part.  

　 　 不 過 ， 阿 梅 對 開 刀 的 決 定 非 常 抗 拒 ， 她 不 下 一 次 向 摯 友 說 ﹕ 「 我 一 生 最 想 被 人 愛 ， 所 以 特 別 知 道 怎 樣 去 愛 人 。 這 麼 多 年 ， 我 最 想 最 想 的 就 是 結 婚 生 仔 ， 我 覺 得 做 媽 媽 是 世 上 最 幸 福 的 事 ， 如 果 切 除 子 宮 ， 我 便 會 一 生 抱 憾 ﹗ 」

But Ah Mui was very resistant to the idea of operation.  She told her friend several times: [For my whole life, I like the feeling to be loved, that is why I know how to love people.  For so many years, the things I want most is to get married and have children.  I feel to be mother is the happiest thing in the world.  If I have my uterus removed, that will be my regret for the life.]

　 　 阿 梅 深 信 可 以 用 其 他 的 方 法 ， 例 如 中 醫 治 療 對 抗 頑 疾 ， 可 惜 病 情 完 全 沒 有 進 展 ， 於 是 個 性 硬 朗 、 倔 強 的 阿 梅 ， 唯 有 採 取 逃 避 態 度 ， 認 為 上 天 要 她 來 這 個 世 界 ， 一 定 有 要 自 己 完 成 的 責 任 ， 如 果 做 完 了 ， 就 是 離 開 的 時 候 ， 甚 至 阿 Q 地 運 用 意 志 戰 勝 癌 細 胞 ， 而 不 是 認 真 面 對 ， 及 早 施 手 術 。

Ah Mui believed that she could use other method for treatment, such as Chinese Medicine, but no improvement at all.  Duo to her stubborn character, she tried to evade, thinking that she was sent to this world by Heaven to finish some duties.  If she has finished, then she has to leave.  She even thought she could use will power to win over cancer, instead of facing the whole problem seriously and had the operation.

　 　 在 梅 艷 芳 準 備 開 演 唱 會 前 ， 各 方 好 友 都 勸 她 要 爭 取 時 間 休 息 ， 盡 量 避 免 操 勞 ， 但 當 時 阿 梅 似 對 生 死 有 所 預 感 ， 視 這 次 演 唱 會 是 一 嘗 穿 上 婚 紗 滋 味 ， 及 向 所 有 愛 戴 自 己 的 歌 迷 講 再 見 ， 所 以 最 後 一 個 場 景 是 穿 上 曳 地 白 色 婚 紗 ， 登 上 紅 地 氈 。

Before  she  prepared for the concert, friends asked her to get more rest.  However, Ah Mui at that time already had the premonition of imminent death, she wanted to have the experience in wedding gown, and said goodbye to all the fans who love her.  That was why the last scene in the concert was she in wedding gown walking along the red carpet.

　 　 長 梯 盡 處 是 另 一 道 白 門 ， 門 後 射 出 耀 眼 強 光 ， 其 實 是 寓 意 自 己 步 上 天 梯 ， 進 入 極 樂 世 界 。

At the end of the stair case, a strong light shining through the white doors, it symbolized that she was walking up the stairs to the heaven, to the everlasting happiness.

　 　 本 來 為 保 住 子 宮 生 孩 子 的 心 願 ， 仍 有 一 �� 希 望 之 際 ， 阿 梅 為 了 履 行 美 容 院 的 廣 告 合 約 ， 遠 赴 日 本 進 行 拍 攝 ， 第 一 天 就 因 天 氣 寒 冷 病 倒 ， 引 致 胃 酸 倒 流 入 肺 部 。

There was still a light hope to have children by keeping  the uterus, but in order to keep her promise, to fulfill her contract with beauty salon, she went to Japan for shooting the ad.  She fell sick on the first day already due to cold weather, that caused acid flow from stomach to the lung.

　 　 消 息 稱 ， 平 安 夜 當 日 病 情 突 然 惡 化 ， 先 送 入 瑪 麗 醫 院 ， 待 穩 定 後 再 轉 到 養 和 醫 院 專 誠 預 留 的 病 房 ， 惟 於 二 十 八 日 肺 部 完 全 喪 失 功 能 ， 要 靠 儀 器 維 持 呼 吸 ， 梅 媽 媽 連 日 來 都 在 病 房 中 陪 伴 女 兒 ， 而 且 哭 至 肝 腸 寸 斷 。

It was said, on Christmas Eve, her condition suddenly deteriorated, so she was sent to Queen Marry Hospital first, After the condition stabilized, she was transferred to the reserved room at HK Sanatorium.  Unfortunately on 28th, her lung stopped function anymore, she relied on machine for breathing.  Mui Ma was by her bed side all the time, and cried in despair.

據 知 ， 阿 梅 臨 終 時 十 分 安 詳 ， 但 體 形 極 度 消 瘦 ， 面 色 蒼 白 ， 頭 髮 亦 甩 掉 不 少 ， 一 班 好 友 經 議 後 ， 都 統 一 口 徑 說 她 死 時 仍 然 漂 亮 ﹗

It is said, when Ah Mui passed away, she looked very peace.  But she was extremely skinny, her face very pale, with thin hair.  After discussion, all friends agreed to say that she looked beautiful at the moment when she passed away.  (Ah Mui always looked skinny and pale without cosmetics.  Also what the writer expects, peaceful is the most important thing for a person when she passed away.  Actually when a person has a peaceful look, she should look pretty, that is beauty from inner serenity.  Also I have doubt about Mui refused to remove uterus because her longing for children.  39 year old already, normally it is really too risky to have children at that age.  So can't believe everything told to the reporter by Mui's "friend")

　 　 
　 　 對 於 有 指 梅 艷 芳 是 因 為 子 宮 頸 癌 導 致 肺 衰 竭 ， 港 大 醫 學 院 婦 產 科 學 系 教 授 顏 婉 嫦 指 出 ， 大 部 分 末 期 癌 症 病 人 ， 其 肺 功 能 都 可 能 因 身 體 極 度 虛 弱 而 受 影 響 ， 但 由 於 不 清 楚 梅 艷 芳 死 亡 主 因 ， 難 以 評 論 ， 但 過 去 研 究 未 有 發 現 子 宮 頸 癌 跟 遺 傳 基 因 有 關 係 。

It is said Mui died because lung failure due to cervical cancer.  The doctor at HK University said, cancer patient at last stage all died due to most probably lung failure as that was caused by weakness of the patient.  As she doesn't know the real condition of Mui, so no comment.

Though Mui passed away in the early morning, friends left till dawn.  Ah Mui's body was transferred from hospital to HK Funeral Home at lunch home, she was accompanied there by her good friend Eddie Lau, and etc.

　 　 阿 梅 昨 凌 晨 去 世 後 ， 身 邊 不 少 好 友 仍 眷 戀 在 病 榻 旁 ， 不 斷 回 憶 阿 梅 的 一 顰 一 笑 ， 久 久 不 願 離 開 醫 院 。 至 清 晨 六 時 許 ， 天 空 吐 出 晨 光 時 ， 各 人 始 一 一 話 別 ， 曾 志 偉 離 去 後 即 安 排 梅 的 後 事 ， 至 早 上 十 時 ， 再 帶 同 數 名 僧 人 返 回 醫 院 ， 向 梅 的 遺 體 唸 經 超 度 。 梅 的 徒 弟 蔡 一 智 、 何 韻 詩 以 及 友 人 楊 紫 瓊 ， 離 開 醫 院 時 仍 不 斷 哭 泣 ， 何 及 楊 更 需 旁 人 攙 扶 離 去 。

Her friends didn't leave till around 6 o'clock in the morning.  Eric Tsang came back again around 10:00a.m. with a few monks, they had to say prayer for Mui.  Ah Mui's students, Calvin , Denise and her friends such as Michelle all crying when they left the hospital, Denise and Michelle even had to be helped by others.  (According to Buddhism, the prayers said right in presence of the dead is most useful.  Prayers said at that time will help Mui to get on the road.)

由 於 阿 梅 的 遺 體 要 送 往 殯 儀 館 ， 故 有 近 百 傳 媒 記 者 一 直 留 守 醫 院 停 車 場 拍 攝 採 訪 ， 院 方 不 敢 怠 慢 ， 在 早 上 十 一 時 知 會 警 方 派 員 到 場 ， 並 架 起 鐵 欄 維 持 秩 序 ， 不 准 記 者 進 入 停 車 場 。 As Mui had to be transferred to the funeral home, so more than 100 reporters already waiting at

the car park of the hospital.  Hospital had to send security and police to keep order, and they were not allowed to go into the car park.
　 　 

　 　 稍 後 ， 香 港 殯 儀 館 一 輛 靈 車 徐 徐 駛 入 停 車 場 ， 車 窗 全 掛 有 白 布 遮 掩 ， 至 中 午 載 �� 梅 艷 芳 的 遺 體 離 開 ， 靈 車 上 的 兩 排 座 位 中 ， 前 排 除 司 機 及 一 名 保 安 外 ， 另 有 一 名 僧 人 沿 途 替 阿 梅 唸 經 ， 第 二 排 則 坐 有 阿 梅 的 經 理 人 王 敏 慧 、 好 友 廖 小 姐 及 劉 培 基 。

Then the car with white curtain from funeral home came, and transported Mui's body to Funeral Home at noon.  In the car, driver, a security man and a monk sat in the front row.  Marianne , Ms So (?) and Eddie Lau at 2nd row. 

　 　 靈 車 行 駛 十 餘 分 鐘 抵 達 殯 儀 館 ， 直 入 預 先 架 起 黑 色 帳 篷 的 停 車 場 ， 工 作 人 員 小 心 翼 翼 將 梅 的 遺 體 送 入 殯 儀 館 內 。 劉 培 基 待 阿 梅 的 遺 體 安 放 後 ， 即 與 助 手 到 灣 仔 胡 忠 大 廈 生 死 註 冊 署 辦 理 死 亡 證 。 有 記 者 曾 問 他 會 否 替 梅 做 最 後 一 件 衣 服 ， 劉 則 默 默 點 頭 。

It took the car about more than 10 minutes to arrive at Funeral Home, and went all the way to the car park.  After the staff had placed Mui's body inside the Funeral Home, Eddie Lau and Marianne went to Wu Chung building for the registration of death.  Eddie was asked if he would design the last clothes for Mui, he didn't reply.

　 　 至 下 午 五 時 許 ， 岑 建 勳 以 梅 艷 芳 治 喪 委 員 會 發 言 人 身 分 ， 在 殯 儀 館 門 外 表 示 ， 梅 的 喪 禮 已 決 定 於 下 月 十 一 日 舉 行 公 祭 ， 十 二 日 大 殮 出 殯 ， 喪 禮 會 採 用 佛 教 儀 式 進 行 ， 遺 體 隨 即 運 往 歌 連 臣 角 火 葬 場 火 化 ， 但 詳 細 安 排 及 扶 靈 人 士 名 單 則 仍 未 定 出 。

Till 5:00p.m. Shum Kin Fun announced the time for public to pay respect to Mui and the time for funeral service.

Also according to Chinese customs, it is not good for the older people to see off younger people of their family, so Mui Ma didn't accompany her daughter from hospital to the funeral home.  In order not to let Mui Ma feel too sad, Eddie Lau already arranged Mui Ma to go to someone else home since early morning, and till very late still didn't see her return.  (Actually Eddie didn't like you media people to bother her mother.)

Shum Kin Fung said he would keep in contact with Mui Ma.  Before she mad any announcement he would notify Mui Ma first.

He said he always takes Mui as his sister.  He felt sad at loss of her, just like at loss of a relative.  According to her, Mui doesn't have any wish not fulfilled.  The night before, when Mui was lingering  between this life and next, all people she wished to see all came, he felt she was blessed.  Shum admitted that her condition deteriorated when she returned from Japan.

(Apple daily) [Don't worry, you just go in peace!] Andy Lau was sitting beside the bed holding her 2 limp hands.  Mui blinked and tear dropped from her eyes.  On the night Mui was leaving, Andy Lau was beside her taking care of her all the time.  In the ward, monks were saying prayers, friends in and out giving her encouragement.  Also Mui Ma was sitting in a corner saying prayers.   At 2:00a.m., Mui Ma suddenly went to the bed side and said to her daughter: [If you wish to go, then just, your friends will take care of me.]  Not long after, Ah Mui really left.  She looked very peaceful, beautiful but tired, and left people with lots of memories.

百 變 天 后 梅 艷 芳 在 好 友 簇 擁 下 溘 然 長 逝 ， 終 年 四 十 歲 ， 死 因 是 子 宮 頸 癌 惡 化 引 致 肺 部 失 調 ， 約 於 昨 日 凌 晨 近 三 時 不 治 。 前 天 入 夜 之 後 ， 梅 艷 芳 病 情 急 轉 直 下 。 阿 梅 說 過 ， 臨 走 前 要 跟 對 她 好 的 朋 友 話 別 。 前 晚 七 時 許 ， 養 和 醫 院 的 主 診 醫 生 告 訴 梅 艷 芳 的 家 人 ， 她 的 情 況 很 壞 ， 大 家 要 有 心 理 準 備 ， 阿 梅 如 果 想 見 誰 ， 就 叫 他 們 趕 快 來 。 The night towards evening, Mui's condition deteriorated rapidly.  Ah Mui said before that she would like to say good bye to all her friends when she left.  A bit after 7:00p.m.  the doctor in charge told Ah Mui's family that she was in very bad condition, they had to be psychologically prepared she might leave soon.  So if Ah Mui wanted to see anybody, should ask them to come quickly. 　 劉 德 華 整 晚 守 候 在 旁 劉 德 華 很 早 來 到 ， 他 在 晚 上 七 時 許 接 到 電 話 就 馬 上 放 下 工 作 ， 抵 達 醫 院 時 ， 病 房 還 很 冷 清 。 那 時 阿 梅 還 很 清 醒 ， 只 是 不 能 開 口 說 話 。 Andy Lau came very early, as soon as he received the phone call around 7:00p.m., he came right away.  At that time, not too many visitors, and Ah Mui was still conscious.  But she already could not talk. 劉 德 華 以 為 她 沒 事 ， 八 時 離 開 醫 院 。 至 晚 上 十 時 ， 華 仔 又 趕 回 來 ， 之 後 就 再 沒 有 離 開 了 ， 在 醫 院 採 訪 的 記 者 都 深 感 不 妙 。 Andy Lau thought she was okay, so left at around 8:00p.m.  Then he came back again at 10:00p.m.  Then he never left the ward anymore.  Those reporters waiting at the hospital sensed that Mui's condition was not good. 梅 艷 芳 一 分 一 秒 的 苦 撐 ， 華 仔 坐 在 床 邊 ， 緊 握 她 的 雙 手 說 ： 「 你 放 心 去 吧 。 」 阿 梅 眨 了 眨 眼 ， 眼 角 輕 輕 淌 下 一 串 淚 兒 。 這 個 時 候 ， 梅 艷 芳 的 好 友 陸 續 來 到 ， 他 們 分 批 進 入 病 房 ， 每 次 十 五 人 。 院 方 見 有 過 百 親 友 湧 到 醫 院 ， 就 把 附 近 的 空 置 病 房 開 放 ， 讓 親 友 可 以 入 內 休 息 。 Ah Mui was still holding on.  Lau said by the bedside holding her limp hands and said: [Don't worry, go in peace.] Mui blinked her eyes, and tears came out from her eye corners.  At this time, more of her friends came, they entered the ward in a batch of 15.  When the hospital noticed that more than 100 friends and relative came to the hospital, a vacant room next was arranged for those relative and friends to rest. 阿 梅 這 晚 並 不 孤 獨 ， 劉 德 華 一 直 守 候 在 旁 ， 病 房 內 有 幾 位 喇 嘛 誦 經 說 法 ， 給 彌 留 的 梅 艷 芳 助 念 。 好 友 輕 撫 阿 梅 的 臉 兒 和 額 頭 ， 強 笑 給 她 打 氣 ， 也 有 人 忍 不 住 ， 當 阿 梅 面 前 哭 了 起 來 。 Ah Mui was not lonely.  Andy Lau was beside her all the time.  There were monks saying prayers, that will help Mui in leaving.  Friends lightly touched her face and forehead, forced a smile to encourage her.  But some could not help but weeping in front of Mui. 梅 媽 媽 勸 女 兒 放 心 走 梅 媽 媽 整 夜 默 默 坐 在 一 角 ， 雙 手 抱 佛 珠 ， 不 停 的 誠 心 念 經 。 病 房 的 空 氣 很 凝 重 ， 時 鐘 指 向 凌 晨 二 時 ， 梅 媽 媽 突 然 走 近 女 兒 身 旁 ： 「 女 ， 你 自 己 揀 ， 如 果 你 要 堅 持 ， 就 堅 持 落 去 ， 如 果 你 想 走 就 走 吧 ， 你 朋 友 會 照 顧 我 。 」 沒 多 久 ， 阿 梅 真 的 走 了 。 Mui Ma was sitting at the corner for the whole night saying prayers.  The atmosphere was very heavy.  Then when it was at 2:00p.m.  Mui Ma suddenly went to her daughter and said: [Daughter, you decide yourself.  If you like to hold on, then just hold on.  If you want to go, then just go.  Your friends will take care of me.]  After a short while, Mui really left.

時 間 大 約 是 凌 晨 二 時 五 十 分 ， 好 友 都 說 梅 艷 芳 去 得 很 安 詳 ， 離 開 時 樣 子 還 很 甜 美 ， 雖 然 很 累 。 當 醫 生 證 實 她 過 身 的 時 候 ， 梅 媽 媽 很 後 悔 讓 女 兒 離 開 ， 哭 得 呼 天 搶 地 ， 整 個 人 都 崩 潰 下 來 ， 幾 乎 當 場 暈 倒 ， 劉 培 基 見 狀 上 前 攙 扶 ， 連 聲 安 慰 。 當 時 留 守 醫 院 的 好 友 都 坐 在 隔 鄰 的 病 房 靜 候 ， 醫 生 宣 布 阿 梅 的 死 訊 ， 他 們 都 衝 入 病 房 ， 好 像 要 把 阿 梅 搶 回 來 。 病 房 內 ， 都 是 哭 聲 。 It was about 2:50a.m.  Ah Mui looked very peaceful, also with a smile on her face, but looked a bit tired.  When the doctor certified that Mui had left, Mui Ma regretted so much that she let her daughter go, she started to cried loudly, collapsed totally, and almost fainted.  Eddie Lau immediately went to help her and comforted her. Meanwhile all friends were waiting for news in the other room quietly.  But when the doctor announced that Mui had already left, they all rushed to her room, it seemed that they wanted to pulled her back.  the whole room was full of cries. 喪 禮 要 開 心 不 要 哀 傷 探 望 過 阿 梅 的 朋 友 說 ， 彌 留 之 際 ， 她 的 病 情 一 度 反 覆 ， 前 晚 十 時 ， 梅 艷 芳 的 身 體 狀 況 十 分 危 殆 ， 需 要 醫 生 搶 救 。 一 位 友 人 說 ： 「 阿 梅 好 瘦 ， 雙 眼 睜 開 ， 不 過 好 似 聚 唔 到 焦 。 」 由 於 醫 生 已 說 明 阿 梅 生 存 機 會 渺 茫 ， 劉 培 基 和 多 位 梅 艷 芳 生 前 的 至 愛 一 邊 靜 候 噩 耗 ， 一 邊 已 經 開 始 討 論 阿 梅 的 身 後 事 ， 如 何 向 傳 媒 交 代 她 的 死 訊 ， 如 何 辦 好 她 的 喪 禮 。 梅 艷 芳 說 過 ， 要 喪 禮 熱 鬧 ， 只 要 開 心 ， 不 要 哀 傷 。 她 的 遺 體 已 於 昨 日 運 往 香 港 殯 儀 館 ， 將 於 一 月 十 二 日 舉 殯 。 治 喪 委 員 會 發 言 人 岑 建 勳 說 ， 阿 梅 沒 有 未 了 的 心 願 ： 「 所 有 好 朋 友 都 去 到 醫 院 ， 見 最 後 一 面 ， 算 係 一 份 福 氣 。 」 　 During the time when Mui was lingering, her condition was very unstable.  At 10:00p.m.  it was so critical that the doctor had to do emergency.  A friend said: [Ah Mui was very skinny.  She opened her eyes, but it seemed she could not focus.] (Dying people are like this.  What's so surprising?) As the doctor already said the chance of survival was minimal, so her good friends such as Eddie Lau were just waiting for the bad news, and at the same discussion about her funeral, and how to tell the media about her death.  Mui said she wanted her funeral to be hilarious,  to be with happiness,  not not with grief.  (very difficult task Mui gave us)

患癌兩年 醫生感慨
「她抗拒治療」

It was same as some writing above.  Her doctor regretted that she didn't seek proper treatment about 2 years ago, when she first found she got cancer, otherwise recovery chance for her was very high.

梅艷芳的主診醫生張文龍對她病逝感到十分可惜。他指梅艷芳兩年前知道罹患癌病後，拒絕接受治療；及至癌病進入最後階段，已經藥石無靈。他說，如果阿梅及早接受治療，痊愈機會很高。

梅艷芳病逝的消息令中、港、台，以至海外的歌迷傷心不已，有歌迷得悉她的死訊後，立即趕到醫院送別。梅艷芳的遺體已移送香港殯儀館，將於下月十一日設靈公祭，翌日舉殯火化。

癌細胞擴散 化療狂脫髮
延壽為圓個唱夢

梅艷芳猝然而逝，許多人都無法接受。誰會料到她的病情急轉直下，以至無可挽救，原來是她不肯及早接受治療，直至病魔折磨得她痛極難耐，才肯勉強求醫減輕痛楚。梅艷芳憑其過人意志力，以其病入膏肓的軀體，在離世前完成八場演唱會，實在令人敬佩，惟意志只能控制病情，始終是凡人的身體，最後還是難逃死神之手。

She suddenly left, many people could not stand it.  Who knows that she refused to accept treatment until finally she could not stand the pain anymore, she reluctantly asked the doctor to reduce her pain.  With her determination, and a very sick body, she finished 8 show.  This deserves respect from all people.  Determination might control the condition, but we still have a vunerable human body.  So finally she could not run away from death.

梅艷芳生前的主診醫生透露，梅艷芳於兩年多前就已診斷出患子宮頸癌，但那時只屬零期階段，若接受局部組織切除，痊愈率幾近百分之百，但她拒絕就醫，以致病情惡化。他說，大家在惋惜梅艷芳去世的同時應引以為鑑，在面對癌症時應要把握及早醫治的機會。

「好多醫生睇過佢，但無一個可以醫到佢，因為病人本身拒絕治療！」養和醫院腫瘤科中心總監張文龍醫生稱讚梅艷芳是很堅強的女性，有極強意志力，但對於她在最初期放棄治療感到非常痛心。

　

Her doctor, Dr. Cheung praised that she had a strong determination, but regretted that she refused proper treatment at 0 stage.

張文龍說，癌症是身體內的炸彈，愈早拆掉，痊愈機會愈大，面對癌症時聽取醫生客觀的意見非常重要。據知，多名醫生均曾勸喻梅艷芳在癌細胞最初期病變未有蔓延�蓿H時，應該及早接受局部子宮切除，以免病情惡化，但她卻以工作繁忙為由拒絕任何治療，令醫生百思不得其解。一名曾醫治梅艷芳的醫生說：「可能她是受到姊姊梅愛芳以及摯友羅文也相繼因癌症去世影響，以為早�兜憭]會死，亦有可能係驚，於是選擇逃避。」

　

Dr Cheung said cancer is just like a bomb inside the body, so get rid of it sooner, the chance of recovery is bigger.  patient should listen to objective opinion of the doctor.  It was said several doctors asked Ah Mui to have the cancer cells removed when it was first discovered, and to have part of uterus removed, to prevent the spread of the cancer sells.  But she refused by telling them she was too busy with her work.  They really don't understand the reason.  One doctor who has treated Ah Mui before said: [Maybe she was influenced by the death of her sister and then later Roman, she might think no matter what, if have treatment early, will die too.  She might be scared, so try to escape.] (Sigh!!)

難敵痛楚才肯求醫

梅艷芳於半年前才向養和醫院腫瘤科求醫，當時她的子宮頸癌已惡化至第四期，癌細胞更擴散至肝臟，出血及痛楚情況已很嚴重，日常作息及工作也受到影響，這時她才肯面對問題，但為時已晚，只可以為她提供紓緩痛楚及拖延病情的治療，希望可以盡量減少併發症。
 

     Only about 6 months ago, she started to seek treatment from HK Sanatorium, at that time her cervical cancer was already at 4th stage.  Cancer germs already spread to liver. Bleeding was  very serious already and she was suffering from pain, that already affected her work and daily life.  Then she tried to face reality, but already too late.  The only thing could be done was to reduce the pain, and prevented her condition deteriorated, and to minimize other disease.

　

她也知道日子不多，曾向醫生透露，希望可以延長壽命完成開個唱的心願。而七月以後，梅艷芳癌細胞已擴散嚴重，曾獲安排接受化療及電療，但化療令她的頭髮大量脫落，故化療只做了一次便停止，但繼續接受電療及對肝臟進行外放射治療。

　

She knew her days not long, she told the doctor she wished to prolong her life so that she could finish the concert.  After July, her cancer germs spread very badly.  So she was under chemo and radio treatment, but chemo treatment caused falling of hair, so only had chemo only once.  The treatment afterwards were mainly radio treatment and ultranoic (???) treatment of the liver.

張醫生稱，電療只限於子宮頸源發瘤位置及腹腔淋巴部位，對阻延病情惡化作用不大，後來醫生再安排梅艷芳接受肝臟內放射治療，但亦難以遏止肝臟癌腫瘤惡化。梅艷芳於十一月十五日可以完成個唱心願，已令醫生及醫護人員非常雀躍。

Doctor Cheung said, radio treatment was only limited to the neck of uterus and lymphatic glands, but not effective to prevent the condition deteriorated.  Then the doctor arranged her to have ultrasonic (????) treatment at liver, this again could not prevent tumor to get worse.  So Ah Mui could finish her concert on Nov 15th to have her wish fulfilled, it was a pleasant surprised to the doctor and other medical staff.

赴日後併發症嚴重

由於梅艷芳拒絕化療，癌細胞已迅速擴散，她從日本拍廣告回港後，便已入住養和醫院，據悉，醫生原本計畫安排她接受仍在實驗性階段的生化治療，有機會控制病情，但她已出現嚴重併發症，在生命終結前的兩至三星期，連最後的生化治療機會也失去。

　

As Mui refused chemo treatment, so the cancer germs spread quickly.  After she returned from Japan, she went to hospital right away.  It was said originally the doctor wanted to try on her bio chemo treatment that is still at testing stage, and had some hope to control her condition.  But she already had other sicknesses.  So she even lost the chance to try the boi chemo treatment.

據本報所得消息，梅艷芳的併發症不只肝功能衰竭，還有肺炎、呼吸困難，需輸入純氧及以人工呼吸機械輔助。醫生明知是哪一種病菌導致肺炎，並以針對性的抗生素治療，但她身體內的白血球功能已非常差，即使對症下藥也難以阻止病情惡化。在最後兩至三日，阿梅已逐漸陷入昏迷狀態，直至三十日凌晨終因肺功能衰竭死亡。

　

So not only Mui's liver wasn't functioning problem, she got pneumonia with breathing problem, she had to rely on breathing machine.  Even the doctor knew what bacteria, and could use the exact antibiotic for treatment, but her white cells counts in her blood were already too low, even the antibiotic could not control her condition.  So during the last 2-3 days, she was gradually slipped into coma, then finally passed away in the early morning of 30th.

半年來一直醫治梅艷芳的張文龍醫生表示，他不便透露病人的求醫及診治詳情，但他對梅艷芳逝世感到非常惋惜，尤其是梅艷芳其實是有大好機會痊愈，只可惜未有把握。在哀悼失去一位巨星之餘，大家應引以為鑑，當發現身體出毛病時，應多方面聽取醫生意見，及早求醫，諱疾忌醫只會令病情惡化，最終甚至無可挽救。

For the past half year Dr Cheung has taken care of Mui, originally it was not convenient to tell the details of a patient, but he regretted the death of Mui, especially when she got a chance to recover, but she didn't grasp the opportunity.  Besides feel sorry for losing a super star, she should sue her as an example.  When get sick, should listen to different doctors.  Should seek treatment early before it is too late.  (True, for professional ethics, doctors really should not release the record of any patient.  So really wonder what is going on.  How true about what was said? Ah Mui was not here to verify ..........sigh!)

知大限將至 召好友訣別
打四嗎啡針吊命

【本報訊】一向極重情義的梅艷芳，前日病情突然轉壞，她自知難逃一劫，遂吩咐助手急召一眾至親好友前來探望，並分別打了四支嗎啡針，強忍�騕h苦，與好友話別後，直至昨日凌晨才願撒手離去。

自從上月二十八日由日本拍完廣告回來，梅艷芳便進入養和醫院留醫。直到前日，病情急轉直下，呼吸出現問題，她好像自知大限將至，示意經理人通知至親好友前來見最後一面。

在病榻上的梅艷芳顯得十分辛苦，一直處於半昏迷狀態，她的病情在前晚十時和凌晨一時，一度十分危殆，但始終苦撐�鞳A不讓自己永遠沉睡下去，醫生亦分別替梅艷芳打了四支嗎啡針，減輕她的痛苦。

　

Ah Mui in bed looked like she was suffering, but in half coma.  Her condition was most critical between 10:00p.m. and 1:00 a.m.(12/30).  But she still hung on, didn't let herself go to complete sleep.  The doctor had to gave her 4 injections of morphine, to reduce her pain.

意志頑強的梅艷芳在半昏半睡之間，仍然略有知覺，並不時用眼皮示意，向來探望的五十多名好友話別，有些朋友目睹她這麼辛苦，不想就此離開，輕聲向她說放心吧，阿梅最後亦在好友相送下，含笑而去。

　

Ah Mui tough in half coma, was still conscious, also blinked to show she was aware what's going  on, and wanted to say good bye to her friends.  Some friends didn't want to see her suffer, so asked her to leave with no worry.  

梅艷芳親友昨日凌晨四時十分臨時召開記者會，宣布梅艷芳因癌症令肺衰竭與世長辭後，近百名生前好友陸續離開醫院，其中梅媽媽需由劉培基及一名男士攙扶才能離開，梅媽媽顯得非常傷心及沮喪，劉德華則雙眼通紅，似曾大哭一場，各好友對記者追問阿梅的遺容時均不願回答便匆匆離去，成龍指阿梅去世時安詳及美麗。

成龍：影藝界不幸�舅@年

成龍強忍激動地說：「今年係影藝界不幸�舅@年，估唔到年尾又有不幸�落ヾA梅艷芳唔係屬於演藝界，而係屬於全香港�舅H，佢好鍾意熱鬧，所以見晒所有人先走，佢又好貪靚，所以走得好安詳好靚，希望佢�葵B友、歌手畀佢靜靜上路，唔好喊，唔好嗌佢個名，呢個係佢�虞N願。」

　

During the press conference, Jacky Chan said: [This is an unlucky year for the entertainment circle.  Never thought at the end of the year such an unhappy thing happened.  Anita Mui doesn't belong to the performing section, she belongs to all Hong Kong people.  She likes crowds, so she liked to see all people first, and then left.  She looked pretty and peaceful.  Hope her friends, and other singers let her go on her road quietly , don't cry, don't call her.  This is her wish.]

曾志偉表示，阿梅病情前日急轉直下，只憑她的頑強鬥志堅持，直至看見每一位至愛最後一面才含笑上路，他說：「希望收到呢個消息�葵B友、影迷，心念一句阿彌陀佛，令佢安心上路，去西方極樂世界，大家一齊祝福佢。 」曾為梅艷芳舉辦多次演唱會的張耀榮說：「我好崇拜阿梅，佢係救星，所有慈善、賑災一定幫手，走到最後時都幫好多人，所以我好崇拜佢，依家失去�}一個人才，好可惜。」

Eric Tsang said, her condition deteriorated rapidly that night, but with her stubbornness she insisted to see all her friends then left with a smile.  [hope, all her friends, fans when learn about this news, say "O Mee To Fu", let ler get on the way peacefully, and go to the heavenly world of happiness.  All give her blessings.]   Cheung Yiu Wing said: [I adore Ah Mui.  She was a savior, she did charity at different natural disasters.  Even at the last minute, she still helped many people.  So I started to adore her long time ago.  Now we lost a talent, very regretful.]

梅艷芳的多年好友譚詠麟表示：「阿梅係香港人�葵B友、傳媒�葵B友，佢率直同執�鞳A亦因為呢個性格，令佢�飯t藝事業定位，大家都好唔捨得，佢一向都鍾意熱鬧，如果可以�虜傮|設公祭。今日佢能夠見晒所有好朋友，亦係佢�蛹眳臐A大家都好唔捨得，香港經濟無論幾咁惡劣，希望大家好似阿梅咁，有鬥心繼續堅持落去。」

　

Alan Tan said: [Ah Mui is friend of HK people, friend of the media, she is very direct and persistent.  And because of this character, she achieved the status of today.  don't feel bad to lose her.  She likes crowds, so if possible please come to pay last respect to her.  Today she could see so many friends, it was her blessing.  We don't like to lose her  No matter  how  bad the economy of Hong Kong is, hope all of you will be like Ah Mui, continue to fight on.]

成龍岑建勳為公布死訊爭拗
好友齊送安詳去

【本報訊】梅艷芳於彌留之際，終完成心願，見到所有好友至親，但因人數多，各有意見，大家一度為何時宣布阿梅死訊而各持己見，成龍主張不要太快向外公布死訊，但遭到岑建勳反對，二人更為此而發生爭拗。

　

There were so many people to help Mui to fullfil her wish.  But due to too many people, too many opinion on when to announce Ah Mui's death.  Jacky Chan wanted to be later, Shum Kin Fung against it.  So there was argument among the two.

據悉自前日下午起，阿梅病情急轉直下，至昨日凌晨一時許，阿梅的情況已接近彌留階段，梅艷芳的主診醫生亦已為阿梅拔喉，免除她的痛苦。阿梅的一班好友在商討阿梅的身後事及何時公開死訊時，卻有不同意見，成龍主張不要太快公布，岑建勳則主張盡早公開，因阿梅離世的消息外界遲早會知，盡快公布可停止外界的無謂猜測及免除混亂，大家各持己見，一度爭持不下，身為治喪委員會代表的劉培基處於被動狀態，未有站在其中一方。

　

A bit after 1:00a.m. , Ah Mui was closing to leave, the doctor already disconnected her from breathing machine to reduce her pain.  Her friends were discussing the things they had to do after she left.  Shum wanted to announce her death as soon as possible, so to avoid speculation and confusion because sooner or later the people would know about her death. so there was arguement.

成龍不悅離醫院

成龍為此而不開心，更一度離開醫院，場面弄得不愉快，後來黃毓民到場作中間人調停及給予意見，大家終達成共識，於凌晨四時零五分召開記者會宣布死訊。

 Jacky Chan even left the hospital because of the argument.  However, finally reached an agreement and a press conference was called at 4:05a.m to announce Mui's death.

　

其實除了這場小風波之外，大家也為阿梅哭得斷腸，各好友為了見阿梅最後一面，接到阿梅病危消息後，均紛紛趕到醫院，由於人數眾多，大部分人都只能站在病房門外，走廊迫滿人，大家只能透過玻璃窗見阿梅最後一面。現場所見，劉小慧及戚美珍已哭成淚人，成龍亦有哭，至於梅艷芳母親，則在病房內，哭得斷腸，需由別人攙扶。

Aslo as so many people went to the hospital, most of them had to stay at the corridor, and looked through the glass to look at Mui.  Many people cried including Jacky Chan.   Mui Ma was crying very badly in the room, and she had to helped by other people.

阿梅遺容很安詳

雖然整夜未眠，成龍昨日帶�饈h倦的身軀繼續拍攝電影《新警察故事》，滿臉鬚根的成龍初時不願談及阿梅病逝一事，但問到阿梅契媽何冠昌太太的心情時，他感傷地說：「個個都唔好啦，�祗礹砥H個個都希望可以做到阿梅�蜊@望，大家唔好喊，開開心心，安安靜靜咁畀佢走。」

　

When Jacky Chan was asked how Mui's foster mother, Ho Kwan Cheong felt, he said sadly: [all felt bad lar.  All hope to do what Mui wishes, be happy, and let her leave peacefully.]

談到阿梅遺容是否安詳，他說：「安詳，佢見晒我�巧狾酗H先走，佢可以堅強到咁犀利。」至於當晚成龍多次折返醫院，他解釋：「我�孕X去開會。因情況急轉直下，過程時間好短，初時醫生話佢脈搏正常番，但係一兩個鐘頭內急轉直下，我自己都估唔到。」

　

Talking about Mui's final look, he said: [very peaceful.  She left after we all arrived, she was really very strong willed.] Then he explained why he had been in and out of the hospital so many times that night [I went out for a meeting, but then in a short period she deteriorated rapidly.  At first the doctor said her pulse was stable.  But then within 1 to 2 hours, it turned bad, I didn't expect that.]

成龍有感今年娛樂圈發生太多事情，他感慨地說：「全世界都唔好，有沙士、打仗、地震，希望大家捱多兩日，一齊祈禱，○四年大家再�盚L。」

　

He regretted that so many bad thins happened this year all over the world. [SARS, war, earthquake, hope we struggle for 2 more days, and pray together,  then go to a better 2004.]

梅艷芳昨日離世後，身邊好友立即成立治喪委員會為她辦理後事，亦很快定了阿梅的出殯日期及有關喪禮安排。至於扶靈名單，據知因為阿梅生前人緣甚佳，不少好友自薦，希望陪伴阿梅走最後一程，而初步人選中包括阿梅生前形象指導兼好友劉培基、張學友、成龍、劉德華、陳百祥、曾志偉、譚詠麟及梁家輝八位。

正式扶靈名單稍後公布

梅艷芳治喪委員會代表之一岑建勳表示，靈堂設於殯儀館一樓的基因主澤堂，於下月十一日上午十一時至下午四時開放予市民及歌迷公祭。岑說，喪禮形式需配合很多因素，但會以阿梅生前愛熱鬧、多人錫為原則。喪禮採用佛��儀式，翌日早上十一時大殮，靈柩會移送歌連臣角火葬場火化。骨灰安放地方和正式扶靈名單將稍後公布，靈堂布置則由黃源善負責，他曾替張國榮布置靈堂。

昨晨九時，陶ョ到達養和醫院見阿梅最後一面；十一時三十分，香港殯儀館派出的靈車抵達養和醫院，院方一度派出近二十多名保安人員於地庫停車場把守，另多名警員亦到場協助維持秩序。職員將阿梅遺體放於鐵箱中，由仵工抬上靈車，半小時後靈車由停車場駛出，後座窗簾拉得緊密，司機位旁坐有一名密宗喇嘛和一名保安，好友劉培基、梅艷芳經理人王敏慧（Mariane）和蘇小姐則坐於後排，逾二十名記者尾隨追訪。

靈車於十二時零五分抵達香港殯儀館，司機將車直接駛入殯儀館地庫停車場，職員以黑布遮蓋入口，並派三名保安員看守。現場有人致送花牌，包括香港電影藝術學會。

與此同時，阿梅的生前好友楊紫瓊、劉天蘭、杜晶晶、蔡一智、何韻詩、施南生、何超鳳以及岑建勳等，亦陸續分批抵達殯儀館，會合劉培基商討喪禮的安排。記者上前追訪時，曾多次發生混亂，甚至把別人的治喪告示牌也推倒。眾人於下午一時四十分先後離開。

歌迷拜祭唱《風的季節》

Marianne、劉培基及男助手一行三人，昨午二時五十分到達灣仔胡忠大廈生死註冊處，為阿梅辦理生死註冊手續，逗留近一小時後，三人於下午三時四十五分離開。Mariane表現寬容，對於記者的提問都盡量簡單作答，她沒有透露阿梅的遺願或陪葬品，只表示阿梅的好友會照顧其母。劉培基則顯得相當悲傷，問他會否為阿梅設計壽衣，他只點頭不語。

大批歌迷於昨晨十一時半帶同鮮花往醫院拜祭阿梅，其中歌迷曾太專程由大埔寓所趕往醫院，惜因路途遙遠，抵達醫院時遺體已送往殯儀館。曾太知道後掩臉痛哭，八二年梅艷芳參加新秀比賽時，她剛於養和醫院誕下一女，對梅留下良好印象，其後她更唱起阿梅參賽歌曲《風的季節》，在場各人登時黯然。

歌聲留天地 百變攀高峰
中聯辦特首褒揚

【本報訊】樂壇天后梅艷芳因癌症英年早逝，各界深表惋惜。中聯辦副主任李剛昨發弔唁給梅艷芳的家屬，對梅逝世深感痛惜，希望梅的家人節哀順變；行政長官董建華讚揚梅在演藝界的成就，自小努力是典型香港的成功例子。此外，多名司長、局長和立法會議員都表示，梅對社會公益不遺餘力，令人難忘。

藝人岑建勳表示，董建華曾致電成龍，託他向梅艷芳的家人轉達慰問，並讚揚梅在演藝界的成就，熱心社會事務，梅極有創意和毅力，靠自己的努力攀上事業高峰，是典型香港的成功例子。

財政司司長唐英年的新聞秘書表示，唐擔任工商及科技局局長時，曾與梅艷芳有工作接觸，他很欣賞梅對工作有幹勁和熱誠，願意為業界出力，對梅的去世感到可惜。

葉澍�撜怓高Y賞

港府多名高官均是梅艷芳的歌迷，其中，經濟發展及勞工局局長葉澍�撜抭萲w的歌曲，正是梅的著名歌曲《似水流年》和《胭脂扣》，他在一九八二年擔任深水�膆蟀F事務專員時，曾邀請當時初出道的梅到深水�蒪t唱。他的新聞秘書表示，梅艷芳是葉最欣賞的歌星，他對梅的離世感到好傷感，香港失去了一位演藝界的巨星。

財經事務及庫務局局長馬時亨的新聞秘書亦表示，馬喜歡聽梅艷芳的歌曲，對梅艷芳逝世感到十分惋惜。

至於民政事務局局長何志平，對梅艷芳病逝感到愕然。他讚揚梅是十分出色的藝人，對朋友熱誠，對公益事業不遺餘力。何最喜歡的歌曲是《似水流年》、《夢幻的擁抱》和《蔓珠莎華》。

此外，何志平的下屬民政事務局常任秘書長李麗娟獲悉梅艷芳的死訊後，亦全日沒有心機。她可說是梅的標準歌迷，每次唱卡拉OK時必唱梅艷芳的歌曲，如《似水流年》、《女人心》、《夕陽之歌》等。

立法會議員吳亮星表示，曾欣賞梅艷芳最後一次演唱會，對梅的逝世感到可惜。議員蔡素玉表示，與梅艷芳母親相熟，常去飲茶，為梅媽媽失去兩名女兒感到哀痛。議員陳鑑林表示，梅自小努力建立今時的成就，值得年輕人學習。

行政會議成員周梁淑怡讚揚梅在流行歌曲歷史上，是值得尊敬的歌星，也是一名偉大藝人。周太表示與梅相識多年，接獲其死訊感到惋惜，最喜歡的歌曲是《似水流年》。

前晚梅艷芳病危時，劉德華已雙眼通紅第一時間趕往養和醫院探望，最終亦能陪伴多年摯友走完人生最後一程，雖然他事後亦有出席在醫院舉行的記者會，但他已傷心得只是低�騔Y、不能言語。

華仔寄語「珍惜眼前人」

華仔昨日透過文字表達對摯友離世的感受：「阿梅不曾真的離去，她不過是改變方式，活在每一個人的心�G。一向最重視朋友的她，相信並不願意見到有朋友為她難過，一生把所有愛都分享給身邊人的梅艷芳，最希望大家可以『珍惜眼前人』。所以不要讓她擔心，開開心心讓她離去。每當你想念她的時候，她會馬上在你的記憶中，跟你Say Hello。」

時代廣場元旦改播追悼片段
美容廣告片即時抽起

梅艷芳雖然身患癌症，但仍積極投入工作，早前現代美容以四百萬酬勞，誠邀阿梅擔任代言人。原定梅姐的電視廣告一直在電視台播放，但阿梅去世後，昨日美容廣告老闆已決定即時抽起所有電視廣告，並打算替阿梅舉行追悼儀式，鑑於今日是除夕夜，是一個開心的日子，故決定延至明年元旦（即明天）在時代廣場大熒幕，播出一段悼念阿梅的片段，讓廣大市民及歌迷追悼及紀念。片段中有一些悼念字句：「悼念現代女人典範梅艷芳」。阿梅推出的寫真集亦會以一百港元售出，部分收益會撥捐兒童癌病基金，讓阿梅的善心遺愛人間。

Modern Beauty had invited Mui to be the spokes woman at a pay of HK$4million.  After Mui passed away, Modern Beauty Salon already suspended the TV ad for the time being.  But they intended to hold a memorial service for Ah Mui.  Today is New Year's Eve, a happy day.  So tomorrow that is New Year's Day, at Time Square, at the big screen, they will play some episodes with Ah Mui.  At the same time will sell the charity book.

　

阿梅當時雖然身患惡疾，但仍落力出席廣告宣傳活動，又為廣告商拍攝硬照廣告，展示女性美態，獲得各方好評，而老闆娘曾裕（Joyce）對阿梅大表支持，經常陪伴她出席公開活動。

　

Ah Mui though seriously sick, still showed her professionalism by attending promotion work, photographing section for the ad, she fully demonstrated the beauty of a female.  She got good comments from all people.

而阿梅早前冒�鬎Y寒，遠赴日本京都拍攝電視廣告，之後雙方合作拍攝寫真集，可惜梅姐病情反覆，日前病情急轉直下，最後不幸離世，廣告商對失去這位巨星代言人大為痛惜，據美容廣告發言人表示，Joyce對阿梅的逝世，感到非常惋惜，心情頗為沉重。

自阿梅病逝後，不少Fans昨日爭相到唱片舖購買她的唱片及影碟留念，店舖存貨瞬間被搶購一空，當中以去年阿梅的《極夢幻演唱會》影碟反應最為熱烈，負責發行的MusicNation發言人表示，昨日已收到不少唱片舖的查詢電話，要求取貨，據知所有貨倉的存貨亦供不應求，為滿足Fans要求，唱片公司正考慮加印。

　

Yesterday, lots of people went to CD shops to buy Mui's CDs. There was nothing left, even the VCD of [Fantasy Gig ] was all sold out.  So Music Nation might consider to release more.

另外，阿梅一生中最後一次的紅館演出，十一月初一連八場的《梅艷芳經典金曲演唱會》的唱片，發言人表示將照原定計畫於下周推出，目前尚欠少許後期工作，發言人說：「我�玉N話要提早推出，一切都係照原定計畫。至於演唱會�蜈v碟，初步估計�隊G月初推出，但都要睇阿梅經理人方面�落M定。」唱片封套將會用個唱海報及和服照，碟中亦有阿梅在個唱中的華麗造型。阿梅經理人Mariane說：「總之隻碟都係如期推出，早出同遲出都會俾人講，阿梅就好鍾意呢隻碟。」

Besides, the CD for her November's [Anita Mui Classic Moment Live] will be released next week as originally scheduled.  There was still a bit of late work to be finished.  As for VCD/DVD will be released Feb. 2004.  The cover will use the poster of the concert and the Japanese costumes, inside there will be other pictures of Mui.  Marianne said: [No matter if this VCD/DVD issued early or later, people still will talk about it.  Ah Mui likes this VCD/DVD very much.]

即將加印舊唱片

阿梅大部分經典歌曲都誕生在華星年代，華星版權部的陳小姐昨日說：「今朝已經有唱片公司主動聯絡我�央A希望大家合作為梅姐推出大碟，紀念呢位咁專業�蜆壑H，Fans係應該擁有�腹I但係我�平禶Q好倉卒咁製作，想多�乾伅◎ЁヾC至於舊碟我�母雩虓|加印。」問到會否推出阿梅一些未曝光的作品，陳小姐說：「我�它堝停鰫j�隊K十年代公開演出�舅軉q係未出過碟，但要睇�w質素點。至於�馭�音室錄�}而又未出過�蛹q就要搵，但可能性唔高。」

Miss Chan of CA said: [many record companies contacted us, they wanted to produce album of Ah Mui.  In remembrance of such a professional artists, fans are entitled to have such an album.  But we don't like production to be in such rush.  We need more time to prepare.  As for those old album, we will issue.]  Would they produce some work that has never been included in any album?  Miss Chan said : [We have some 80's work that has never been included in any album before.  But have to see the quality first.  But chance for those recorded in recording room but never produced is not big, we have to look for it.]

唯一劇集出VCD

除了廣東歌外，阿梅亦有不少經典國語歌曲，BMG唱片公司方面昨日亦表示，為紀念這位舞台上的女王，他們正考慮重整手頭上阿梅的國語歌出碟，至於會否加印其他唱片，他們表示會視乎情況而定。此外，阿梅唯一一套電視劇《香江花月夜》亦乘勢推出VCD，以滿足歌迷對她的思念。

Besides Cantonese songs, Ah Mui had many mandarin songs, BMG mentioned that in memory for this super queen, they will get out all Mui's mandarin songs and will release album. Whether they will release other album? they said all depends on the condition.  Also TVB will release VCD of Mui's only TV soup opera [Flower Moon Night of HK, to satisfy the fans.  (Aiya, don't make any excuse that you people are doing all this for her fans.  All of you are doing for your own pockets lar.  We have all her albums already, except the recent concert...............sigh............as far as I know, you people were waiting for her death in 2004, now you can rip off some money and be rich earlier.  Satisfied? ...........suddenly remember what Mui said: "boycote buying!" with her finger pointing up, really looked very cute.)

自去年拍攝《男人四十》後，梅艷芳久未拍電影，故當她得知自己患癌後，仍堅持演出張藝謀的電影《十面埋伏》，除因她欣賞張藝謀的才華外，更重要是可與她的知己劉德華合作，而張藝謀亦一直對阿梅推崇備至，雖知她有病在身，未必能如期演出，但他仍堅持等待阿梅演片中大家姐的角色，不肯易角。可惜阿梅幾經折騰，雖然很渴望再與華仔及名導演合作，惜最終亦不敵癌魔，與世長辭。

After July Rhapsody, Mui had not worked for any other movie.  Though she knew she had cancer, she insisted to play the role in [Ambush], as she appreciated Zhang Yee Mou's talent.  Also ZYM respected Mui too, even knew she suffered from cancer, and could not work as scheduled, he insisted to wait for her.  However, Mui didn't have her wish fulfilled.  

默哀三分鐘

身在內地的張藝謀，昨聞阿梅死訊，悲痛萬分，感慨地說：「我一直等待阿梅埋位，從未考慮易角，阿梅最佳人選，但她還是離開了。」

張藝謀昨日強忍悲痛，清早開工前與金城武和章子怡等劇組人員，在外景場地為阿梅默哀三分鐘，希望她早日安息。

When ZYM learnt the news of her passing away, he felt very sad with regret:  [I'm always waiting for her. I never consider to find another one.   She is the most suitable actress for this role, now she left.

So yesterday, before he started working, in the morning, together with other working staff, they said a prayer for Mui wishing her peace.

港台覓女角

據《十》片製片人張偉平表示，直至阿梅過世前，從未提出過請辭，並指她與片中角色的性格相似，均是豪爽之人，急公好義。他與張藝謀談起阿梅時也不勝唏噓。雖然苦心等待阿梅的加入，更安排專屬醫生和包機，但一切也是徒然！由於此片已拍了五分四，不少是其他主角章子怡、金城武及劉德華的戲份，惟有急覓女角頂替阿梅的角色。據張氏稱，現正聯絡香港或台灣的女星頂替梅艷芳的位置，演出大家姐一角。

　

The producer Cheung Wai Ping said before she passed away, she never resigned from the role.  Her own character is exactly same as the role she was going to play.  When he talked with ZYM about Mui, they were full of regret too.  Though they waited for her so long, and planned to charter a flight and arrange doctor for her, now everything is useless.  Only 1/5 of the movie is not finished yet.

另外，有份投資《十》片的安樂電影公司老闆江志強，對於阿梅的逝世同樣感到突然和可惜，希望梅艷芳能得安息。

The investor, the boss of Edko Film Co. felt her passing away shocking and he was full of regret.  He wished Ah Mui peace.

演藝21載 賺逾2.5億
疏財仗義積蓄無幾

梅艷芳八二年勇奪《第一屆新秀歌唱大賽》冠軍，一舉成名，繼而成功入行，旋即作出多方面發展！阿梅二十一年來，除推出多張唱片外，還舉行無數場演唱會，並拍攝多套電影及廣告等，在圈中發熱發亮，屬圈中不可多得的天后！保守估計，阿梅有生之年的總收入超過二億！

過去多年來，阿梅主力在歌唱事業上發展，唱片大都賣個滿堂紅，其中《壞女孩》及《妖女》兩張唱片的銷量更超逾三十萬張！加上其他共四十多張唱片，總銷量高達一千萬！以每張八十元、分紅百分之十五計算，阿梅的唱片收入已達一億二千萬！演唱會方面，阿梅單在香港已舉行過百場個唱，以每場六十萬計算，收入高達六千萬，十分可觀！據知，阿梅月前帶病上陣的個唱，更收取八十萬一場的巨星價，為她帶來超過六百萬進帳！

阿梅歌藝了得之餘，演技亦多次獲肯定，多年來她拍下《胭脂扣》、《男人四十》及《金枝玉葉2》等超過四十部電影，單在零一年便拍下《男歌女唱》及《愛君如夢》等四部電影，以片酬一百五十萬一部計算，收入已衝破六千萬！另外，阿梅多年來還拍下不少廣告，據知她本年底以四百萬酬勞拍攝現代美容廣告，成為一時佳話，另加其他登台、剪綵及巡迴演唱會收入，阿梅肯定是圈中小富婆之一！

阿梅有生之年雖然賺錢無數，但在投資方面稍欠心得，在新加坡、日本、台灣、英國及香港所置的物業統統貶值，包括當年以三千萬購入的壽臣山村豪宅。另外，阿梅曾助其兄開狗場，後因打理不善，虧蝕不少而結業。她亦要照顧母親生活，更支持其母一手創立的癌病協會，多年來共耗數百萬，並曾支付千萬元擺平夜店掌摑事件。

另外，平易近人的阿梅一向食客三千，加上愛熱鬧，每次聚會總爭�颾I單，朋友開口借錢，更一定不會托手�部C她仗義疏財的性格，令財產所餘無幾，與收入不相符！

嚴寒拍廣告 斷送璀璨一生
阿梅完成最後任務冒死留倩影

本年十一月底，阿梅的身體狀況尚算不俗，她完成演唱會後，更直飛寒冷的日本京都為「現代美容」拍攝電視廣告。其實阿梅出發前，醫生已囑咐她不宜舟車勞頓，應該靜心休養，但阿梅未有聽從，冒死為自己留下最美一刻，因為她希望在短暫的人生中，留下最美好的回憶，了結未完心願！

瘦身廣告的幕後班底，全是阿梅最信任的精英分子，有信心可將她的最美一面展現出來，故阿梅不惜在攝氏八度的嚴寒天氣下，穿上低胸大露背裝開工。阿梅對整個廣告非常滿意，但勞累四日的她拍畢廣告後，身體狀況便急轉直下！

完成寫真心力交瘁

與此同時，阿梅邊拍廣告，邊籌備為「兒童癌病基金」籌款的《現代女人心》寫真集。其實阿梅當時已十分疲憊，但向來善心的她，每為善事出力總是義無反顧，希望將對人生的想法滲透在寫真集的訪問中，藉此喚醒外間的愛心，給癌病兒童一個治療機會！雖然阿梅從未想過退縮，但這麼重的工作量，令她喘不過氣來，尤其是她要工作至三更半夜，與每位在書中出現的藝人做訪問，但為了完成此美事，阿梅毫無怨言，未有想過放棄！

拍畢廣告後，身體狀況愈來愈差的阿梅，已不能出席公開場合，連寫真集推出之日亦要缺席，由好友代表出席。有說她自日本返港後，便一直臥在病榻不能起來，到最後病況轉壞，被送入醫院接受治療，走完她人生的最後一程！

阿梅把握最後光輝遺愛人間

梅艷芳是圈中出名的義氣兒女，在演藝界多年來，做過的善事難以盡數，她的一顆善心，多年來贏盡不少讚賞。其實阿梅自年多前（01年）發現自己的健康出問題，即子宮出現腫瘤後，她更深感要好好把握在世上所餘時間，立定決心盡所有力量去回饋社會，所以更加積極行善。

做善事不眠不休

阿梅的經理人Mariane曾承認，今年五月，由阿梅為沙士肆虐而發動的《1：99音樂會》，為她帶來很嚴重的後遺症。其實當時阿梅已知自己患了癌症，但為了搞好音樂會而豁出去，多日來不眠不休籌備，並親自找贊助及邀請藝人助陣，她的熱心當時得到一呼百應，不過，卻因為她的勞心勞力，加速了她的癌病擴散，因為當時阿梅不時暈倒，並試過要入醫院輸血，很多身邊人都不停勸阿梅要保重身體，但她卻全不理會，繼續為做善事而�魒迭C

正義感令人佩服

阿梅除身體力行做善事外，亦深知團結就是力量，93年香港演藝界為保障藝人權益而成立的香港演藝人協會，向來正義的阿梅已是當時的籌委成員，01年底更從成龍手中接棒，以高票當選第五屆理事會會長，成為首位擔任會長的女藝人。02年《東周刊》封面刊登一名女星被迫拍下的裸照而引起公憤，當時身為演藝人協會會長的阿梅，多次鼓勵女星要勇敢面對，而阿梅自己更挺身而出，那份正義感令圈中人團結一致。

今年她公開承認患上子宮頸癌，但她沒有停下工作，更出了一本慈善寫真，為「兒童癌病基金」籌款，希望可以將愛心延續。

梅艷芳很愛穿婚紗的感覺，很甜蜜，可惜她最終覓不到一段至死不渝的愛情，她常說：「每個女性都想有屬於自己�萵B紗，我錯過好多次�饃B紗機會，我諗住二十八歲結婚、三十歲生仔女，終於四十……有咩呀！」

阿梅在舞台上光芒四射，事業如日方中，惜感情路卻崎嶇波折，她多年來一直是超級偶像，有成千上萬的歌迷為她傾倒，但對於女人最需要的一個好歸宿，阿梅始終未能如願。阿梅由82年參加新秀歌唱比賽入行至今，感情生活一直備受關注，緋聞多不勝數，其中不乏有多段姊弟戀及異地情
